  • The Open Golf Club Competitions offer golfers another avenue to play competitive golf at different courses. We find the system works well here at Vale Of Llangollen. The scheme has brought in good green fee revenue and is very simple to administer. The golfers who come, seem to like it here so hopefully they spread the word amongst their friends!

  • The Open Golf Club is a fantastic initiative, it gives nomadic golfers the chance to play competitive golf at some of the areas finest courses. Heswall welcomed The Open Golf Club for the first time this month and it proved to be a great week. Some great scores from serious golfers , and £1000 in green fee revenue for the club. I hope it continues to go from strength to strength.

  • The Open Golf Club fits my golfing requirements perfectly. I play once a fortnight so I can't justify the fees for a private club membership but with The Open Golf Club I can still compete whenever I like and have a fair handicap. It's very well ran and there's some great savings on green fees.

  • I love competitive golf and TOGC gives me an extra option each week on top of my club competitions. A lot of my golfing friends aren't private club members so they've been looking for something like TOGC for ages. The format is so simple and very flexible so we tend to travel as a group to compete whenever we can. The comps are always good value for money and the challenge of the order of merit around different courses is quality.

  • The Open Golf Club is a great concept giving amateurs a competitive day's golf over some excellent golf courses in the North West. The events are superbly administered by Dave Thompson and we look forward to the possibility of hosting more Open Golf Club guests during the 2014 season

  • Wirral Ladies GC signed up as a venue for the Open Golf Club in 2012 and has hosted three events so far which have attracted valuable additional green fee revenue to the club. The club has been supportive of this new concept and it has benefits for all concerned - the players, the organisers and the host clubs. The flexibility of the Open Golf Club means that the tee times used are spread throughout the week and so cause minimum disruption to members of the host clubs. From our experience it is a win - win situation and we hope that the Open Golf Club continues to grow from strength to strength in the future.

Peter Greville Manager of Wirral Ladies GC, Wirral
